Upon the throne sat the Lich King, a crown of frozen souls upon his brow, his phylactery safely hidden. He was armed with the scythe Soulreaper and clad in necrotic plate armor swarming with spectral faces. His opponent was the Sun Paladin, a beacon of light who arrived aboard a chariot of pure fire. Her sacred longsword, Dawnbringer, glowed with searing intensity, and she was protected by brilliant platemail forged from a fallen star. The battle was a cataclysm of opposing forces; shadowy tendrils lashed out against blinding holy light, the Lich's bitter cold clashing with the Paladin's divine fire. After a devastating exchange, the Paladin’s final radiant smite shattered the Lich King's armor and severed his connection to the phylactery, causing his form to dissolve into screaming mist. Victorious, the Sun Paladin was granted the Lich's obsidian amulet, its dark energy now purified. This relic of two sides, light and dark, could unlock the sealed archives of the First Sanctum, revealing forgotten magics of creation and ruin.
