Spider-Man crouched low on the shadowed rafters, the hum of automated sentries echoing through the cavernous underground facility. Intel pointed to a vault deep within the compound—classified files detailing Oscorp’s illegal bioweapon experiments. *Just another Tuesday.* He dropped silently, landing cat-quick between flickering security panels. The air reeked of decay. *Wrong kind of Tuesday.* A guttural snarl ripped through the silence. Red lenses narrowed as figures shambled into view—rusted lab coats hanging off gray-green flesh, eyes milky and ravenous. Zombies. Of course there were zombies. Behind them, hydraulic joints whirred: hunter-drones, their optic sensors sweeping the hall in precise grids. Spider-Sense screamed. He lunged, web-line snapping him upward as gunfire shredded the space he’d occupied. Mid-swing, he tagged a drone’s thruster with a tracer charge, sending it spiraling into a pack of undead scientists. The explosion painted the walls in neon-green sludge. *Gross. Effective, but gross.* The vault door loomed ahead, biometric locks glowing. Parker pulled a stolen keycard from his belt—swiped from a guard who’d *definitely* need a new job after this. The scanner blinked green. Inside, rows of servers pulsed like a mechanical heartbeat. Jackpot. Alarms blared. Reinforcements clattered down adjacent corridors. Time to go. He slapped a mini-EMP on the mainframe, frying data trails, and bolted. Escape route? Crawling through vents reeking of synthetic motor oil. Exit hatch. Moonlight. Freedom. Another explosion rocked the base below. He didn’t look back. The thwip of his webs carried him into the night, documents secure. Mission done. Now, about that burning smell in his suit…
