The two images appear identical at first glance—same dimly lit room, same cracked leather chair in the center, same vintage clock frozen at 3:15 on the far wall. But look closer. In the left photo, the clock’s minute hand curves slightly downward, as if bent by time. On the right, it’s arrow-straight. Dust motes float lazily in the left’s sunbeam; the right lacks them entirely, the air unnervingly still. The chair’s armrest tells another story: a faint smudge stains the left image’s leather, absent in the right. Most telling? The shadow beneath the chair. Left side—jagged, uneven, like something lurked there moments before the shot. Right side—smooth, undisturbed. Not a replica. A different moment. Or a different truth.
