The Johnson household buzzed with weekend energy as Mom set down her coffee mug. "Team meeting!" she announced, snapping rubber gloves over her hands. Dad hoisted Taylor onto his shoulders, the four-year-old's giggles bouncing off the fridge magnets. "Operation Sparkle House starts now - who's tackling what?" "Toilet duty!" Dad claimed, earning dramatic groans. Mom rolled up sleeves decorated with cartoon pandas. "You're with me, munchkin," she winked at Taylor, handing over a sponge shaped like a duck. "Living room walls first - watch for jelly handprints near your height." Taylor's eyes widened as Mom demonstrated circular scrubbing motions. "Like drawing rainbows?" she asked, promptly creating a soapy arc across the baseboard. Behind them, Dad's off-key singing echoed from the bathroom - "*Scrub-a-dub-dub, three men in a tub!*" The refrigerator became a treasure hunt. "Expired yogurt: enemy number one!" Mom declared, while Taylor systematically rearranged condiment bottles by color. Across the room, Mittens' cat tower got a surprise overhaul. "Fluffy bed goes... here!" Taylor announced, dumping a mountain of fresh cedar chips into the pet house as their tabby watched in feline disapproval. By lunchtime, the house smelled of lemon polish and teamwork. "Best helper ever," Dad grinned, high-fiving Taylor's sudsy palm. Their victory snack of slightly smooshed sandwiches tasted better eaten on gleaming floors.
