Mia twirled her polka-dot sundress in front of the mirror, grinning as Bella tossed a cropped leather jacket her way. "Add edge or stay sweet?" Mia debated, holding the jacket against her floral print. Ana chimed in from the closet, emerging in wide-leg linen pants and a tank top embroidered with sunflowers. "Both. Start sweet, shed layers later—it’s rooftop café weather if we convince Bella to stop obsessing over that hiking trail." Bella countered by dangling car keys, her utility jumpsuit pockets stuffed with trail maps. "Lakeside picnic beats crowded cafés. I packed mango salsa and that spicy dip Mia loves." Three outfit piles later, they sprawled across Ana’s rug, phones flashing options. Mia scrolled through botanical garden photos. "Twinkle lights at dusk? Perfect for photos." Bella groaned. "Zero snack vendors. Remember last time?" Ana snapped her fingers. "Farmer’s market by the pier. Food trucks, fresh lemonade, *and* that flower stall Mia likes." A truce emerged: market loot first, sunset photos at the gardens. Mia clipped daisy hairpins into Bella’s braid, Ana looped silk scarves into everyone’s bags, and they piled into Bella’s hatchback, windows down. "GPS says 20 minutes," Bella announced, adjusting her aviators. Ana tossed a playlist into the aux—breezy indie tunes blending with their laughter as Mia narrated horoscopes from her phone. "Today’s cosmic vibes: ‘Adventure rewards the bold.’" Bella smirked, merging onto the highway. "Tell the universe we’re already ahead of it."
